Total Pollution Sites Nationwide
Comparing the regulatory status of sites over the years, as of the end of 2022, a total of 9,100 sites have been placed under regulatory listing, and a cumulative total of 8,556 sites have been delisted. Summing up the cumulative number of sites placed under regulatory listing, the number of delisted sites, and the current number of regulated sites over the years, there has been a gradual decrease in the annual number of sites placed under regulatory listing since 2017. On the other hand, the cumulative number of delisted sites has been consistently increasing year by year since 2013, with the growth rate showing a slowing trend in 2021 (with an average annual delisting of 646 sites from 2013 to 2022).
